Peggle is one of my favorite games to pass time, becarefull it's pretty addictive! Its like pinball meets Brick breaker. Peggle consists of shooting a ball from a launcher at the top of the screen in an attempt to hit as many pegs as possible on the way down. You are only given a certain number of balls to clear the board of all of the orange pegs, and if you fail to do so, the game is over. Peggle features 55 levels, 40 master challenges, an iPhone-optimized control mechanism, and pass and play multiplayer.

I have to say Photogene is by far one of my favorite apps for photo editing!!! It its without a doubt a must have! This one app will be able to take care of all of your basic photo editing needs all in one app.

Photogene was picked as one of Apple’s favorites in the AppStore’s 1 year anniversary. It also received PC Magazine editor choice award and was recently included in O’Reilly’s guide “Best iPhone apps” as best app for editing photos.

Photogene is normally $2.99 but you can grab for a limited time for $1.99!!!! So grab it fast!

This app is full of features:

Shazam Encore & Shazam Red

I bet many of you are familiar with Shazam Encore because for the longest time it was one of the top free apps, but a few weeks ago it became a paid app. If you are not familiar with Shazam Encore it is an great music identification app. At the click of a button it uses the phones mic and listens to whatever song is playing out loud (on the radio, in a coffee shop, on a friends stereo) and will tell you what you are listening to. It will give you the lyrics to the song, link you to the videos Youtube video, let you share the song through Facebook or let you buy the song in itunes. A must have for any music Enthusiast!!!!

There is a free version of Shazam but you are limited to tagging 5 songs a month which is worthless I tag twice that many a day!!!!

Shazam Red is exactly the same as Encore except the theme of the app is Red instead of Blue and they donate $1.00 of the purchase price to programs that combat HIV and AIDS in Africa.

Star Walk

This is an amazing app!!!! I would gladly pay full price if it wasn’t on sale. Star Walk is a Star chart for the iPhone. Ever looked up at the sky at night and wonder what constellations you are seeing. Well this app will tell you. Whats great about this app is it uses you GPS and accelerometer to triangulate your position and what you are looking at. So you simply point the phone at the sky as if you were going to take a picture and on the screen you will see a star map of exactly what you are looking at. It has tons of other cool features like you can click a star or constellation and it will give you al sorts of info and stats. you can click a clock icon in the upper right corner and you can scroll up or down and see what you will be able to see later that night or wjat was visible earlier. You can do a search for stars, constellations, solar system. they give you a picture of the day. So this app is loaded i defiantly suggest you pic it up quick while its on sale!!!!!

New FREE App!!!

Home Depot

I really liked this app and think it has alot of potential to get even better. the home page in the app tells you promotions that they are running. There is a "Shop" button that lets you view all the weekly adds the store is running, create a tool wish list as well as create a shopping list if you are starting a project yourself. There is also a "Toolbox" button which takes you to a store Finder for if you dont know where the nearest Home Depot is. My favorite feature is the "Know How" button. This button takes you to a list of how-to instructions. I really like this cause it gives you a list with pictures of all the tools required as well as all the materials needed.It also likes you to Youtube to watch a instructional video. The only down side is they currently only have 6 How-to topics which i hope they will be expanding with each update.

This is a cool app. You use it to take panoramic pictures that the iPhone wouldn’t normally be capable of taking. This is done by taking multiple pictures and the app merges them together. You can merge as many as you like I believe (I tried 15). The phone can be held either vertically or in landscape mode when taking the photos but to change between the two you must change a setting by hitting cancel and then selecting the other mode. The app also shows a small preview of your previous picture on the left side of the screen to help you line up the shot. I tried many times and had great luck the pictures came out great. A must have for anyone who loves taking pictures!

This is a crazy awesome poker app!!! It has full video intro, realistic looking avatars (54 to choose from) and great game controls. You have the ability to play in carrier mode and test your skills or you can play a head to head match with a friend to see who is the best via blue tooth is. There are different achievements that you can win and it stores your stats for you. Something this app has I liked was that during game play it shows general tips for any beginner players (these can be turned off in settings). You also have the ability to save replays of good hands so you can see them again later or show to friends. Who wants to listen to bad music built into the game….not me. Well you have the ability play your own music while you are in the app. There is a Hints and Tips section in the help menu if you are new to poker and trying to learn, along with App instructions and Game Rules.

This is an awesome app I use everyday probably my most used app!!! NetNewsWire is a RSS aggregator. For anyone who is not familiar with RSS feeds they are the news headlines you see on a website. For example you can subscribe to a RSS feed for this Blog so that way every time I publish a new post it would be viewable in your RSS Reader. What I personally have done is I have gone to all my favorite websites that I like to stay up-to-date with and I subscribe to their RSS feed if they have one (not all sites do). Then when I open my email to check it I also open my Google RSS Reader and read all the news from all my favorite websites. Its an easy way to save time and keep current on news that’s important to you without having to visit tons of sites everyday. Yahoo and Google both have RSS readers that are free and there are may 3rd party ones as well. I myself use Google’s because it is so easy to use. All that to say NetNewsWire is an app that will bring your RSS subscriptions to your iPhone. You simply enter your Google user information or your Instapaper user information and that’s it!! every time you open the app it will show you all the news headlines from all your favorite websites.

This is an awesome app I use everyday!!! It’s a note taking app. There are three ways to create a new note. You can use the iPhones Camera and take a picture( you can also pull from your camera roll if you have an old pic to use), you can Type a note and you can create a Voice note. Once you have created a note you have the ability to ad tags to it so you can locate easily later and you can create groups for you notes (ex receipts, things to buy, to-do). You have the ability to mark notes as favorites for those frequently needed notes. Last but not least…..its actually my favorite feature is that Evernote syncs with a desktop application that works for both MAC and PC. Both the iPhone app and Desktop app sync to and website as well. So by using Evernote you can access your notes on your phone, your computer or a friends computer so no matter where you go you can get your notes.

Midomi is a awesome music identification app. Many of you are probably familiar with Shazam the formally free app now $4.99. Midomi is like Shazam on steroids! It has tons more features. Like Shazam at the click of a button it uses the phones mic and listens to whatever song is playing out loud (on the radio, in a coffee shop, on a friends stereo) and will tell you what you are listening to. Whats the Point?

I have wanted to do this for awhile. I am an iPhone App Junkie. For almost a year I had and iPhone but I didn’t have the internet at my house. In that time I really learned what all the iPhone is capable of and how cool many of the apps for it are. What apple says “there’s and App for everything” is surprisingly close to true. There are many apps that still need to be made but I have been surprised at how rare it is for me to not find a app for whatever it is that I need. The one downside I have found is there are over 100,000 apps currently in the store and sifting through them to find what you need is often excruciatingly painful and time consuming. My goal for this Blog is to use this it to help keep my friends and anyone who follows my Blog up-to date on: New Apps, Apps that go on Sale, Must Have Apps I Find, I also will type up a short review for an App of the Day and occasionally I will post top five lists by category ex. Photography, utilities, social networking. My goal is not to overload with posts but to make sure no great deals or finds are missed. So my reviews and posts will be short and sweet but hopefully helpful. I love feed back so feel free to leave comments (did you like/dislike the app, did the review help). Dragon Dictation
– By Nuance communications and powered by Dragon Naturally Speaking

This is a great app that just arrived in the App Store this week. It is a voice recognition app that allows you to record a voice clip in the app. It will then translate the audio into text (similar to the Vlingo app) and with a click of a button you can paste the text in a SMS message, Email or onto your clip board for use in another app. I like this app because I like to text and email on the go and I have been waiting for a good voice to SMS/Email app to hit the store.

I will say you have to speak slowly and clearly while recording but it has worked great for me. There is also a button you can tap to bring up the key board to correct any mistakes in the translation.

This app just hit the store for FREE!!!! So grab it while you can before the put a price tag on it!!!!!
